Kendall Cahan is a Woodturner and Artist who resides and works in Blowing Rock, NC. He started Cahan Studio as a means of exploring his creative passions and embarking on a journey of self-understanding and transformation. 

Through his work, he hopes to elevate ordinary objects into fine works of art that will be cherished, used, and admired for generations. Part of his design philosophy is that an object’s form dictates it’s usefulness and therefore its value. An item which is made with sincere effort, high intention, and intelligent direction is an item worth holding on to. 

Kendall uses natural finishes exclusively in his work. It is his belief that items which are made from wood should be finished with natural oils which enrich the wood and provide protection, all while being completely food safe and non-toxic. Because he uses natural oils on all his work, you can revive your heirloom piece easily, any time you like, simply by wiping down with pure Linseed Oil or pure Walnut Oil.
